Mom Furious upon Seeing Her Sons Cry after Opening Presents They Received from Their Aunt

Murphy’s Law always strikes during my son’s birthday parties, and this year was no exception. My six-year-old twins, Colin and Daniel, were having a pirate-themed party when the doorbell rang. Standing there, uninvited, was my prankster sister, Kim.
Kim had a history of mean-spirited jokes—like the time she sabotaged my wedding dress with slime. So when she handed the boys beautifully wrapped presents, my husband, Antonio, and I braced ourselves.
At first, the twins were thrilled, tearing into the boxes. But their excitement quickly turned to disappointment—the boxes were empty. Kim burst into laughter, dismissing it as a harmless joke, but my boys were devastated. Furious, I kicked her out.
As she reached her car, karma intervened—a passing vehicle splashed her head to toe with rainwater. I smirked, shut the door, and returned to the party, determined to salvage the night.
Later, as I tucked my boys in, I was grateful they hadn’t let Kim’s prank ruin their day. Just before bed, my phone chimed with a message from her. One word: Sorry.
Maybe, just maybe, it was the start of change. But for now, I’d keep my kids far away from her tricks.
