California License Plate With ‘Secret Message’ Turns Heads Online

A California driver has managed to obtain a personalized license plate that reveals an illicit phrase when viewed in a mirror.

While the California DMV enforces strict rules banning offensive or slang terms, this driver appears to have cleverly bypassed regulations, according to Boing Boing.

California allows customized plates with 2–7 characters, along with special plates supporting causes like coastal preservation, child safety, and veterans.

Interestingly, New York issued the first license plate in the U.S. in 1901, requiring vehicle owners to display their initials—with George F. Chamberlain receiving the very first one.
